Can you really use a magazine to grate cheese? Like parmesan? |

The Cheese Grater is the alternative magazine at UCL Union, for those who wish to read something intelligent, funny and biting. It was founded in March 2004, largely in disgust at Pi Magazine. The magazine is written, edited and published by UCL students. We don't have the money for colour printing or even a stapler, but we have got enthusiasm. Twice a term, we publish a mammoth 8-12 page magazine and dump it all over the place, including the drop bin to the left of the Union Reception in 25 Gordon Street. Each copy is then lovingly chucked away and recycled. But we're taking a stand, and that's what matters. We publish humorous and satirical pieces, investigative articles, and some of the finest cartoons in London. We don't accept work from any old twat (of which UCL has thousands), nor do we aim to please everybody. We aim to be low on budget but unrivalled on quality. This approach has netted us four awards in as many years. You can read more about the magazine on Wikipedia and on h2g2.com. We even have a page on Facebook.
